Hey! Welcome back to The Versher Post! Today, I am going to share with you some tips for taking lecture classes. Since the new semester is coming back around, it’s a perfect time to start fresh for the school year. I hope you enjoy!
Tip #1: Go to class
You have to attend class to get the most out of the class. Attendance is not always mandatory, but the teacher could tell the class something important and if you aren’t there you will miss the opportunity.
Tip #2: Choose your best style for taking notes
I usually type my notes on my computer in class, but some people enjoy pen and paper. For math, I would hands down recommend pen and paper.
Tip #3: Talk with your teacher after class at least once a week just to see how they are
Having a closer relationship with your teacher can help improve your grade and your future especially if they are a professor in your field of study.
Tip #4: If you need help, don’t be afraid to ask
Your teacher does not want to see you fail. They are the one unlimited resource you have.
Tip #5: Go to office hours
Your professor will have office hours every week. If you did bad on a test, go look it over with them during their office hours. You don’t want to continue to be confused as they keep going with the class.
Tip #6: Find a buddy in all of your classes
Sometimes you don’t feel like getting up for class and that’s okay. Find a buddy to give you the notes you missed while you were away so you don’t fall behind.
I hope you enjoyed these few tips for taking lecture classes! I can’t wait to see you succeed this spring semester! Remember to follow if you haven’t already and share with your fellow friends and classmates!
